Small deposits (under $5,000)

Robinhood gives free stock worth up to $200 for opening an account and linking a bank. E*TRADE's tiered brokerage promotion starts at smaller deposits and tops out at $1,500.

Mid-size deposits

tastytrade's tiered cash bonus runs from $50 to $2,000 for a first deposit by Nov 30. J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing starts at $50 for $5,000–$24,999 in new money.

Large deposits

J.P. Morgan pays $1,000 at $250,000 or more. moomoo offers up to $1,000 in NVDA stock for holding a qualifying deposit through its promotion period.

Brokers with no bonus right now

Fidelity isn't offering a sign-up bonus at the moment. Its last new-account cash offer ended in 2024, and its refer-a-friend program doesn't pay either side. We'll add Fidelity here as soon as it runs a new promotion.

What to watch for

Most bonuses require the money to stay in the account for 60–180 days.
Transfers from another broker usually count as new money; moving money between accounts at the same firm usually doesn't.
Stock bonuses can lose value before you're allowed to sell.
